Stock jack is two-stage, has a cradle for the axle and extends to 16". Effective for 33" tire. Most bottle jacks from the auto store are single stage and do not hold well on axle tubes.
If using a hi-lift to change a wheel, will still have to support axle. What I like about the hi-lift is it's winch capabilities.

Hi-Lift makes adapters that will fit all applications from a stock lifted one to aftermarket bumpers/sliders. A must have for any lifted XJ or one used off road can be used as a winch for recovery or in emergency's to extract someone from an accident or rollover.

I use a 60" Extreme but many opt for the 54" I like the extra length and have quite a few options for it including the large base.
