Right back spacing?

canyon are 15x8 with 5.5 bs.
most other tj rims are 15x7 with between 5.25 and 5.5
no tj rim has 6.25 bs as they are only 7 inches wide.
just so you know...
CFarr44, these are no good for your application. nor would i run spacers.

what would happen if I put on the 31's on the 16 inch rims?

with the backspacing and 10.5 tires, they will rub on the lca at full turn.
i wouldn't recommend wheel spacers as a permanent fix as it's something that can potentially go wrong. and for the cost of those rims and wheel spacers, it would just be economically better to go with the correct rims.

I plan on getting 265/75 I dont want the 10.5 anymore
with the backspacing and 10.5 tires, they will rub on the lca at full turn.
i wouldn't recommend wheel spacers as a permanent fix as it's something that can potentially go wrong. and for the cost of those rims and wheel spacers, it would just be economically better to go with the correct rims.

I run stock XJ rims on 31X10.5 tires with 5.5" BS and have no issues. Yeah at full lock I get a touch of rub on the LCA, but as long as you are aware of it and IF you have to go full lock you crawl really really slow it isn't an issue. Been that way for over a year now and my tires are none the worse for it. How often do you really need to go all the way to full lock? I have 4.25" of lift in the front (4.5" in the back) with stock LCAs.
Just my .02, although if I find a set at a reasonable price I will be getting a set of 3.75-4" BS steel wheels, but the price needs to be cheap, like $100 for all four. I check CL all the time, hasn't happened yet.
