since all doors rust on the inside bottom i decided to try to stop it on my almost rust free 2000.
the haynes book says"pry loose the switch panel and unplug it" WRONG!! i expected to break it so i started on the pass side, and cracked it. it will not come out ez.
the ez way is pull 5 screws on front doors,3 on back.
pop the panel loose ,breaking most little plastic plugs.
lift up to free the panel and reach in and unplug the electrical conn. do not remove it from the door!
then unhook the metal links for lock and open. set the panel aside finally.
with all 4 off ill go slop some rust bullet in the bottom where i see a little rust, maybe ill stop it. its my best shot!! at least ill feel good knowing i tried my best.

Throw that **** away. Download a factory service manual from Pacific Coast Manuals for $8. Then you can search it and print what you need as necessary to take with you out to the garage.
I tell people that Haynes is beyond useless because of crap like this. It would be one thing if it were merely useless, but it's beyond useless because following it will cause you more issues than if you didn't have it at all and just figured it out on your own.

+1,000,000.
I don't know how I survived before my FSM.
Wait, now I remember: I would **** it up and then have to take it to a shop.

The clown who owned mine before me put big chips in both of mine because he tried to do that. So, one side didn't come out and you thought you'd try the other?
x2 on the FSM. My Hayne's manual is now being used as an absorbent when I carry oily things
