So I'm making some rear unibody tie-ins and encountered an issue.....See the little hump after the third hole? What did you do with that?


Oh, by the way, the thing in the background. That would be the factory nutstrip. The bolt was SO seized in there, the nutstrip curled into a ball. So I just shoved it back in there. Haha.

 

Here's the tie-ins. I didn't weld them to the bumper because the tie-ins will also be holding my gas tank skid and I didn't want to pull my skid just to pull my bumper.

 

My JCR nut strips had a little bump that went over the uniframe hump, not much just enough to allow the nuts and bolts to line up.

 

I see, but that doesn't help me much. Would it be ok to just cut it out?

 

cut a hole just big enough for the bump to sit in.

Any ideas on how to do it or what to use? Can't really fit a grinder in there too well.

 

check it out in my bumper thread, I used 4x2 and it slide right over that, I went past the gas filler etc.

 

Don't really see anything other than the bumper installed??

But mine sit in there cocked really bad.
