Rear suspension nuts rusted on and free spining one both sides !!!
hello there i have an XJ and im doing a 5inch suspension lift, i was going to put the new rear shocks in and i noticed that the nuts holding the top of the shock to the frame are rusted and just free spining and they wont come out for nothing anyideas?

Wire brush all the crud that you can off the threads. Soak them with PB Blaster several times over the corse of a few days and then try again and hit them with a high speed impact if you can get to them...

You could cut the heads off of the bolts and push them up in there, but to get themout you would need to cut a hole in your floor to get them out. I had to do that once and hated it but thats what the dealership told me what they do
Or if you're really talented you can cut the heads off and weld the nut to body lol
