Default Re-doing a headliner

Has anyone on the site done this? if so how, i tried it using some headliner material and 3m 70 spray glue but the heat coming off the roof just keeps causing it to drop, any suggestions.

There is a lot of threads on here about it. Do a search. It's a common problem. Redid mine about 3 years ago. Looks just the factory job. You have to pull out the headliner, clean off ALL the old glue. Glue new material down, and reinstall. A good afternoon of fairly easy work.

Like 91 Limited said you have to completely remove the old headliner and make sure the backer board is completely clean of glue and the old foam. Mine took a wire brush to get it all off. Once thats done you can spray both the board and the back of the new material with the cement and let it get tacky and then press them together. Did mine last summer and its still up there.

I used 3M on mine and the heat didnt affect it,
Like they said, make sure it super cleaned of all glue and stuff before.
