"Rattle Can" Paint Job
Well, I decided to rustoleum my 95 GC and don't regret it. Just need to clean off excess paint and fix the white lettering excess spray.

To the O.P. - I'm curious, what spray paint did you use? And how much did you use of it?

I hear if you wet sand the rattle can paint with high grit (2,000 then work your way up to around 6,000), then buff it... It looks legit. Any proof of this?

Yeah, that was a mistake. But, I just tell people that the backwards 'N' represents uniqueness. Hehe. Definitely dont mind it though, because I say to hell with rules ;P

In fact, I personally think non-professional paint jobs look best on Jeeps.

About to paint my truck today. Fwiw you can get primer, paint, clear coat, and a decent enough pneumatic spray gun for right around $100. You can even roll on enamel with a high density foam roller for around $50 and it looks far better than spray paint.
Only time I'd bother spray painting with a rattle can is with bed liner. The flat black looks badass and it goes a long way in preventing trail damage.

I did mine for less than $50 two years ago. And it still looks good today. I've had several folks not believe it was done in my garage with a rattle can. Its survived two harsh WI winters, as well.
The only issue is the scrapes, but thats not the fault of the paint!

You must suck with a rattle can, then.
