So I'm pulling in to my driveway yesterday parked and got out. I smelled gas so i looked under the jeep and there was a good sized puddle on the ground right under the gas tank. I gdad just filled it up prior to all this so I was thinking it might have been tooo full and come out somewhere, somehow.

Then I got up under it today and saw that it was still leaking. It's coming right from right on top of the tank where fuel lines and hookups go into the tank. But I cant get a good look at it without dropping the tank. Mind you this is a '01 ABSOLUTE RUST FREE XJ. The tank looks brand new. Any idea what could cause it to leak this bad?? Fuel line is loose? It still runs fine though. I'm stumped.

 

I'd say maybe the fuel pump gasket is not sealing.

 

Either that ^^ or or where the fuel lines hook up. Either way i think you gonna have to pull the tank. Same thing happened to my brother, fuel pump gasket wasn't lined up right.
