radiator cracked, fix it? or new one?

radiator cracked, fix it? or new one?
hey so i messed up my rad going scuba diving through mud with my xj and i was wondering if i could fix it somehow? its on the top passenger corner on the engine side, could jb weld fix it? or should i bring it to a radiator specialist to have him look at it?

Yeah I know I bought one today for 109$ so I put a 25$ down payment on it until I can get it next weekend after I cash my check and pay it off, I just did that so I ain't tempted to spend my money lol

JB Weld or something similar would only work so well. It may work temporarily but it'll eventually fail again. Always bite the bullet on a cooling system component and replace it before something worse happens than just a small leak.

Yeah that's why I bought a new one, its never fun having to pull over and work on your jeep... Even thoug their so easy to tear apart haha

I put JB Weld on mine a couple months ago as a temp fix.
Still working good.
The way the radiator is held in place is the problem.(at the top)
It does not take much of a bump to make a crack were the top
bolts hold the rad in place.
I put some rubber mounts to hold the rad in place until I replace the
rad with a new all aluminum one....
