I'm going to be doing ball joints this weekend on my 97 XJ and wanted to go ahead and do new u joints while I have the axle shafts out. Are the U-Joints on my axle shafts the same as the driveshaft U-Joints? And which spicer U-Joint should I be using? Also, where are you guys that run the spicers buying them at? I haven't found any place local that has them yet.

no, they are not the same as the drive shaft u-joints.
xjmarc is correct, your axle shafts joints are 5-297x.
your drive shaft uses 5-1310x.
spicer is the stock brand, usually better than what you can get from autozone. you should be able to get them from the dealer or most smaller jobbers.

Not the same as the driveshaft, your Jeep will need Spicer 5-760x's. I got mine from www.justdifferentials.com
