Default Quick A/C question

Hey guys. So I got a compressor for my A/C and installed it today. System is empty and buttoned back up. Was open for maybe 15 minutes. Anyway I decided to order a new orifice tube and drier and they will get here Saturday. I'm gonna install them Sunday and have it vacuumed and filled Monday. My question is will the system be okay? I sealed it back up today and will have it open Sunday and then reseal it. And serviced Monday. Is it okay being empty for the weekend?

You only need to worry about a drier if its open long enough for atmospheric condensation to build up. A few minutes is no big deal.

You can leave it uncharged forever, as long as its closed

A new compressor was installed without completely flushing the system? Usually this makes the warranty null & void.

x2

The new drier/accumulator, etc are only part of the fix. Gotta' flush the whole system, too.

Mine blew up a couple months ago, and I removed the coolant, yanked the compressor, sealed the system up and installed a delete pulley. Runs fine. The two reasons I decided to just delete the A/C were cost of a new (rebuilt) compressor and having to flush the whole system.
