96 jeep grand Cherokee i changed the pump and now i have the same noise i started with the squealing and its goes away at idle then gets louder when u it the gas wtf is wrong with the pump? can i use the pump from a straight 6 motor ? or does it have to be the v8

 

Might want to put this in the grand cherokee section. Since this is tech, not chat, and well you know... tech relating to specifically grand cherokees.

They would know more. And im just guessing when I say I don't think you can take the ps pump off a straight 6 and put it on a v8.

 

Does your grand have the 4.0 in it? Mine use to moan too, but o got a new one and hasnt done it sense.

 

i have the v8 5.2 in the listing online says i can use one from a 4.0 it says they work

 

found the problem ac compressor bearing bad anyone know where i can get a new one ? then this truck is finished
