Default Pre 97 or 97+ Cherokees, Whats Your Opinion?

Hey, I was just wondering on everyone's thoughts about pre 97 XJ's vs 97+ XJ's
I was wondering myself but couldn't find a thread on it. Personally i own a 98 Classic and i'm not sure which one i like better. I Actually like the design on the pre 97's except the tail lights. But what kills it for me is the outdated interior for the 90-96. But hey that's my opinion, Whats your's?

Personally i like the outside appearance of a pre 97, but the interior in my 96 ehhh could be alot better, outdated like you said

I love everything about my 2000. Especially not having a distributer.

I love my 98, but in general the only thing I don't like about the older models is the front

I'm gonna go with a 99 2 door. Everyone knows that 99 is the best year for the xj, haha Even though 00-01 are distributor less they have the dreaded 0331 cylinder head issue, which is much more costly than replacing a distributor every year.
