I bought a pump but it wont work it like a 1/4 in off and the one that was in here had a plastic pump now this one has a metal pully si trying to figure this out its grand cherokee laredo with 5.2 v8 ? Is there a tsb or something or is the bracket behind it bigger

 

Sounds like you got the wrong pump.

Bring the old one with you to the parts store. Even if its still attached to the truck.

 

lol thats funny went to the junkyard round 2 but in the rain had my old one got the correct one out of a jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2l v8 and its the correct and its a good one so now i can actually finish this truck tomorrow and probably get it fired up but still gotta change the oil and spark plugs
