HDR photo processing. I use a program called Photomatix. You need a nice camera and a tripod. Take multiple shots at different exposure levels and the program blends them together.

Went on a Trail ride with the local 4WD club and these pics (among others) got posted on their website. Heck my wife even thinks the bottom one is a cool pic. Think both are my fave...at this point
