Nice! Looks great! I paid for mine, but it's in mom's name for insurance reasons, started the cutting process today, ran out of light and killed my buddy's battery in his truck running the grinder, so my left rear looks great! I'll post pics once I get it finished up, no idea when I'll get the chance to though haha

I just try to avoid slinging mud everywhere. When I can't avoid it I break out the garden hose and wash it off.

I don't know what you mean by "won't reach the bottom" but considering you don't really know how I'll be modifying and reinstalling them you should probably not be so quick to jump to conclusions. I am NOT mounting them higher on the body, they will be installed in the stock location, just not the same way the factory installed them there.

Honestly I don't think anything looks better on an XJ than the stock flares. Take them off and it looks like an 86 Bronco, put bushwackers on it and it looks like an R/C toy...IMO.
They just need a little additional engineering applied to them to add a little clearance.

The problem with those liners, front and back, is that they don't stop mud from going there anyways. All they do is trap mud, salt, and water against your sheetmetal and starts rusting out your ride. I bet if you removed your front inner liners you will find where crap has been accumulating inside them, most especially towards the back and bottom of them (underneath where your feet are in the front of the cab floorboards. This is not a good place for crap to build up unless you like ripping out interiors and replacing floorboards. I'd rather be able to know I washed the crud off than wonder if I got everything out from behind them.
