I went from driving my cobra all summer and got in my tj for winter and thought I could do the same things..
Well it did, for a while.
It would do donuts on dry pavement, raced and beat eclipses, gsr integras. It just had a couple things like intake, glasspack, hollowed cat but it was fast as heck lol. It suprised everybody. Even me. But even at stock height when I got it it had a vibration when you got on it.
The first time I blew the driveshaft out and tail housing.. The driveshaft rolled under oncoming traffic.
. No when ever told me that when you drop a driveshaft it unbalnces it, and I put it back in and could never get rid of the driveshaft vibration on top of it always having vibration it got worse.
tried hose clamps, new u-joints. everything.
2nd time I broke the yoke on the rear actually taking it pretty easy on a trail. The first 2 times must have weaken it.
.
Then one night I was driven a little fast,Hit 2nd a lil' to hard. BANG.. there was no limping it home in fwd that time.. The 3rd final straw.
I fixed it. sold it for 2k, by then it had 31's and alloy A.R rims with 4" R.C and the new owner did the same thing but actually cracked the bell housing.
So if you lose a driveshaft, have it rebalanced, or get another.
Oh, and don't drive anything with a ax15 and np231 like its a race car.
And that was the 3rd and last YJ Id owned, and it was just cursed with drivetrain problems. Something wasn't right with it. I never did get rid of the vibration100% Either a bent frame or the perches were messed with. A SYE kit mite have helped, but it had problems before I lifted it.
But Ive moved onto bigger and better jeeps.
