hey guys i have a 98 cherokee 5 speed ax-15 trans and for some reason all of sudden my jeep while getting out of first it will pop out of gear. it happens every time too and i have to hold it very hard and it will still pop out even if I hold it. every other gear is fine. does anyone know what can be causing this? thanks.

could it be my driveshaft angle? i have a 5 inch lift with no t case drop or sye. I never installed them because i dont have any vibes and it has been lifted for over a month and all of a sudden it is giving me problems getting out of first and when it pops out its very violent too.

Doubtful. Should be internal to the trans itself. The DS would just pull out of the tcase or trans tailcone if it was that bad.

Yea like said.. Bent shift fork possible.
Either way gotta pull the tranny out to fix it. That's internal.
