Hey friends. I have an ARB Awning mounted using the ARB mounts to Thule crossbars. They're 65" wide. The mounts are solid and the awning is secure. My issue is cosmetic - I think the awning is too far away from the truck given the extra width of the crossbars.

I'm thinking of another solution - either more narrow cross bars or a rack that would eliminate the need for the mounts all together (just bolt the awning directly to the rack).

If any one has any pics of their awning and how it's mounted, please can you share?

 

I have one mounted on gutter mount cross bars just like yours, but my bars are shorter so it is much closer to the roof. I don't have any great pictures of the mounts but maybe this will give you an idea.
