Ah, I had no idea it came with that dash cluster. Thanks for the info. That would drive me crazy to not know what's going on besides simple fuel etc.

i got lucky with mine, and the po got ripped off. he traded his 98 2 door 5spd in and they only gave him 500. well because i work there i bought it for 500 plus tax. was a steal.

6 months later a bought a 03 wj with brand new goodyear adventures for 500 plus tax because the resale guy told the customer that the engine tick was a rod knock. i bought it put 6-7 thousand on it still runs strong. so it does work the other way, just not as often

A windshield sun visor can make a world of difference.

When I drove an XJ Limited, I always found it handy to keep 2 large towels in there, for covering the seats when the sun was shining through the side windows and when ever I felt like heading to the beach after work; or instead of going to.

I felt it was worth the slight inconvenience of taking a little extra care in the summer, to have leather seats with heaters for the cold winters. But thank was way back when only leather seats could be heated.

Anyone should be trying to protect the leather from the sun as much as you can if you have lather seats. They will last longer. Especially if you don't condition them regularly.

I've thought about something like that for years, didn't know they made a kit.

The ad should be a lot more detailed, but alas it's CL; home of the 'tard.

http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/5648512349.html

1987 jeep cherokee pioneer, 4x4, 47,000 original miles, extremely mint and original vehicle. I purchased the jeep from the original owner a few months ago. The owner bought it brand new, meticulously maintained it, never towed anything, kept it in his garage at a vacation home. So, I am the 2nd owner and have owned it for approximately 4 months. I bought it in New Orleans and drove it home with zero problems. Things I have done to it, all done professionally, receipts to show:
-new muffler and tail pipe $300
-Air conditioning work. $302
-brand new set of michelin ltx tires $614
- oem cup holder $12
-heavy duty rubber mats, lazer fit $330
-surco safari roof rack $327
-new rear chrome oem bumper $120
-type 2 draw tite hitch, 2" receiver
-professional detail (wash and wax) $125
-new water pump $62
-new thermostat $16
-fresh oil change
-oil filter
-new under hood light
-new spark plugs
This is the best definition of an unmolested, original jeep. It drives like a dream. Only reason I am selling is because I have 3 vintage jeeps, otherwise I would be keeping her. Very solid jeep.

Asking $10,000. Have way more than that invested. Clean and clear TN title.
Emphasis mine.

My 86 is just as clean, and I'm the second owner on it. 5K would be high for a lifted small block swap. Is yours worth 10K? 5 maybe.

My xj has no carpet front or back for that reason.
Tinted windows and a visor shade fixes all of that. It also keeps the car 20-30 degrees cooler in the summer when it's parked and it also protects your interior from damage & fade. It's worth the investment.

It's not double wide, clearly stated as 14" added width. Yes, it's legal width.

Not a big fan of the blacked out windows but def gonna try to have a small tint done professionally, didn't think it makes such a difference. I already rock the huge windshield shade haha, my jeep has no carpet and currently only one door panel due to taking the doors off so the lack of insulation = hot! The 44 flowmaster makes the floor so hot you can fry bacon. Won't be complaining in the winter tho

I took a trip to Florida (about 1300 miles) and the muffler made the floor ridiculously hot. I just had bedliner in it and it was making my feet sweat in February!
