Parking light housing price differences?
Hey all
I busted the clear lens on my front driver side parking light on my ZJ. So, I went to RockAuto Parts online catalog looking for a replacement. I found one from a company called TYC for less than $6. With shipping it came to just around $18. So then I went and checked Advanced Auto, AutoZone, Napa auto parts, and Rustys Offroad online for the same thing. All their prices range from $22-$36 plus shipping. Judging by the price, I'd say there is a quality difference. So, what's your take on this. Has anybody heard of/used anything from TYC ? I'd rather not spend the extra money if I don't have to, but if the TYC part is bunk, I may not have a choice. Any suggestions?

tyc they make all the "ricer lights" that are out there... they usually leak water from what i have experinced... your best bet would be a junkyard... you would get a oem part for less then 10 bucks...

Yeah, that's what I thought. I new the name sounded familiar. I remember about 10 years ago, me and my girl at the time, had a Honda Civic EX and I picked up a pair of tail lights made by them and they started leaking within 2 weeks of installing 'em. I actually just found another site selling Crown Automotive. They price match and the shipping is cheaper too. If I'm lucky I'll only have to less than $15 with shipping. The local salvage yard still hasn't gotten back in touch with me yet. We'll see what happens.
