Wife was driving the Jeep to day and noticed a worning symbal on the dash in red saying check guages or something like that.
Now I must admit befor my wife drove the Jeep I did press a small button on the dash that said trip next to it.
Any ideas, Reg and Pat

Could be low oil pressure, low fuel, over heating, low charging. The button you pushed is to reset the tripmeter. I reset mine every time I refuel, but it has nothing to do with the check gauges light. You should check it out ASAP before your wife is stranded. Happy wife= happy life.

Did you look at your gauges? The only two times my light came on my battery was toast and the volt gauge was pegged out on zero. The other time, I had run through some water and the alternator got wet. Once again, the volt gauge showed zero. When it dried out the light went out.
