Default Painting Tie Rod End Threads?

I bought a new Moog tie rod end for ZJ tie rod upgrade, and it came as bare metal. I'm worried about rust forming on it over time, so I intend to paint it but not sure if it's ok to paint the threads that thread into the adjustment sleeve. Would just a light coat of paint on the threads prevent it from threading properly? Anybody have experience with this?

Why not just mask the threads?

I thought about just masking the threads. I just don't want them to rust over time. I suppose if I use anti-seize on the threads it'll probably be fine.

Yeah mask them off for paint and anti seize it if you care about rusting.

I think that spinning the threads on will shed some paint, might as well just mask the threads and slather on the anti-sieze, works just fine for me
