Oh OK, cool. These aren't going on until later this month. Thanks

Also, my Hi-Lift is rusty and needs a new coat. Sandblast the rust off? Then the same primer, paint, and clear coat?

Cheers

Might as well while you're painting everything else.

Put those things in an airy space and don't touch them for a week. Seriously. I had to throw mine on after 3 days or so and the paint nicked very easily, even when I put pads between the coil compressor ends (which I recommend doing if you are compressing them to put them on). They look great though, nice job.

Thanks! For like $10 for the all the paint, I have to say it came out nice. Not to mention I had a ghetto paint/dry station, so.. lol

They're going to be how they are in the picture for the next couple weeks. Think it'd be ok? I might do another clear coat soon, just because the inner part of the coils didn't get that much and the texture is different from the outside.

Thanks

Yeah, I think it's a 24 hour or 48 hour period for recoating after the clear has cured. I'd hit it again then let them sit.

OK, cool. I'll hit them again then when I'm doing my long arms next week.

My RC shocks are going to be here tomorrow. I was contemplating painting them to match the coils. I'm not doing my adj. track bar, since I like the black, but I don't like the white tubes. Do I just need to scuff them up then paint? Is the paint I used on the coils fine? Or is there a better quality paint?

I used the same paint for my shocks as I used on my coils. Scuff and paint. Make sure you clean them after scuffing them to remove dust.

Recommended grit? Or just whatever scuffs it?

Cheers

I think I used 150 or 220. Can't remember but they both will work.
