Default Paint a Jeep

How do you go abouts doing this so it looks nice ?
My guess was-
dust free environment
sand it down till...?
primer it
Automotive paint it
then clear coat it.
Am i correct? any other steps i am leaving out ?
Thinking about painting my jeep a viper yellow to help make my future black bumpers and such stand out Plus i like yellow

If photo bucket was not down I could show you. (check back at my build thread)

PREP PREP AND MORE PREP!!!

then I used a 1 stage (clear and base) and did a total of 3 layers on the jeep and it turned out perfect.

Dust free is very nice to have!! i made my own out of painters plastic and 2 x 4 (not pictured) and it was not dust free but very close to it.

total cost was about $140 for paint, $30 for supplies and about 2 strait days of prep
