Default overhead consoles?

Anyone got a pic? Curious as to what they look like, in particular the pre-90 models

ok, got mine in finally. it is from a minivan or a zj but it works fine, at least the lights do.

this is under the visor clips. i used one of the holes for the clips so its off center by about an inch to hte passenger side. i did not have a factory hole for the overhead console to mount to.

here is the original interior light mount. digging up there showed no possible mounting point for an overhead console

original light that was used to check if everything worked and also used as the power point for the console

this is the tail of the console and would slide into a bar if mine had one in it. until i locate an xj in the junkyard, this is slid into a slice in the headliner and is hung by about an inch of insulation and material.

this is hte front of the console. notice the center mount single screw. check the first pic at the top here and you'll see two equally spaced mounting plugs.... had to mount off center an inch.

one lonely light needs a bulb replaced.

here is the side shot so you can see how its just barely not flush.

now you guys can decide if you think its worth it to mount one yourself. it took all of about 15 minutes to put in the jeep by myself in the middle of a 100 degree summer day
