Online store recommendation

I need some OEM stock engine mounts for my '99, anyone have a suggestion on where to find them online at a good price? I have brown dogs currently but the vibrations are a bit much for me with the truck being a DD.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I thought they were only Duralast?

zombie jeep101 12-27-2012 11:21 AM

Duralast is good stuff

CrawlinPepper 12-27-2012 01:09 PM

I read a few times that OEM from Mopar/Chrysler was the only way to go..?

zombie jeep101 12-27-2012 01:37 PM

Ummm no.

Give ya $10 bucks shipped for the brown dog mounts.

zombie jeep101 12-27-2012 01:44 PM

I'll give you $20

CrawlinPepper 12-27-2012 01:46 PM

$55 kthxbye

Might give Duralast a shot.

The duralast will work fine. I recommend if you havent look already to check your tranny mount as well. If your engine mounts are wore out, your tranny mount is usually wore out as well.

^ this....major difference with all new mounts....i was chasin vibes for a while IE tcase drop rear shims new joints etc..replaced all the mounts vibes got a little better...pulled out t case drop and shims and viola no vibes...nice and SMOOTH.. New mounts are well worth the time and $$ even if you dont have vibes...just smooths everything out :) then again I am old and cant stand even the slightest vibe or rattle
my two cents

If you haven't ordered them try like rockauto.com or some of our vendors on here.

Do you have pictures? I have serious vibes and I've been thinking it's my transmission mount. I looked, but I can't seem to find an issue. I also have a rough shift from reverse to drive, that's the only time I have a rough shift. That makes me think I have a bad mount. I've checked the engine mounts and they are fine.

No pics but the best way to make sure just drop your skid plate/x member and look at your mount. You should have a good 2+ inches of rubber between the mount. Get a good pry bar up there and see if you can move the trans a lot. Anything cracked, squished, sagged or broken in half replace it. The 4.0 is a very torquey motor thus hard on all mounts. This is compounded if you are in low range a lot.

Advance Auto has Anchor motor mounts never had a problem with them, plus they price match if you find it cheaper anywhere.... btw Autozone=Duralast parts

CrawlinPepper 12-29-2012 01:30 AM

Trans mount has been done, still vibrating too much for my liking. Hard shift every once in a while too.

Is it Anchor>Duralast?

still_alive 12-29-2012 01:39 AM

I would get the Anchor one over the Duralast one, I work at Advance Auto and I haven't seen a defective Anchor mount come back in my store ever soo

Yea i work at advance auto too, both of my motor mounts are Anchor's as well. I've never had one come back bad in the past 1.5 years that i have worked there, never heard of it happening either from other people.

I have an Anchor trans mount too, worked like a charm!

zombie jeep101 12-29-2012 10:05 AM

I still say duralast

ZINGGG 12-29-2012 11:15 AM

I say go to Brown Dog and order the rubber bushings and dump the prothane.

If not, any OEM motor mounts will work fine. I'd try rockauto.com as they are usually the cheapest for any OEM part.

On another note, if you're dead set on getting rid of your Brown Dogs, I'd be very interested at that price
