Default Is this the one for me? I think yes!

1994 base (SE) model. 4.0, 8.25 rear, 231 TC. About 240k miles. Obvious repaint of original color, but looks like it was just because of shot paint, not major damage. Not perfect condition, but unmolested well kept example. I saw it in person today, current owner just sounds like a flipper. I'm going to meet with him tomorrow and drive it.

Nice! How much?

Edit after seeing pics: That thing is so clean underneath! Wish we could find them like that on the East Coast. The only bad thing in SoCal is the sun beating everything to death. Nice XJ though!

Yup, couple leaks but 0 rust. Guy is asking $1300. Seems legit.

Edit: just talked to seller, he's a wholesaler. Wholeseller? He sells holes? Dammit, you know what I mean. He's charging sales tax and transfer fees. $1500 total still sound legit? I told him if it works as decent as it looks I want it!

One question, there is a vacume hose capped off with duct tape seen in this pic, anyone know what it's for?

I would think the duct taped hose is a breather hose for either the diff, transmission,or transfer case!!

Interesting, why would it be capped, and how would that effect anything?

Ah, that may be it. So what's up with the duct tape cap? Doesn't a breather need to breathe?

I'm here!!! And yes, I got it!! Making plans, checking it over, doing research, trying not to ask the typical noob questions that have already been answered a billion times.

Oh, here's my Jeep intro post, once I get some crap together I'll start a build thread.
