Anything with coolant in it. There's so much of it and it's such a PITA to clean up. I can do an oil spill like a boss but my garage is slippery from the glycol

Coil spring compressors.
F- that ish. Not trying to have the spring compressor fail, and have a spring smash me in the *****

Heater core is always a pain in the ***. I don't even like talking about drum brakes let alone fixing them
Diff fluid though?? Takes like 5 mins to pull the cover and drain. Maybe another 15 mins to clean it up and apply RTV. I usually wait 12 hrs before filling though (permatex black)

I changed front axle U-joints, put it all back together then noticed a short time later the passenger side front axle seal was starting to leak, likely caused from removing the axle to change my U-joints. So I had to take it all apart again and rip out the center diff to get to the seals. What a pain that was.

I just finished posting on another thread where i reminded myself of the hanging headliner i had to re do.
Got the fabric, adhesive, etc. all lined up for the job.
How hard can that be even without a helper?
Broken trim clips, maneuvering that long head liner in and out of the Jeep, sore back!

I never want to do that again!

I think of maintenance as something needed to keep the vehicle running. Or to prevent something as well. Does headliner count? I didn't think so so I didn't want to put that hahah....what about fixing oil leaks? Does that count as maintenance? If so I had a hard time with the oil filter adapter.

I hate doing other peoples maintenance.
They are always very welcome to come over, have a cold one, learn how to balance a wrench.
My old man didn't know if a screw driver was for tuning a carb or drinking as a cocktail.
Now I'm pissed that what I've learned isn't being passed on. I think I could give a kid a head start in the mech world. Free schoolin in toolin!
Seems today's candidates can't take their face off the electronic devices.
They want their vehicles maintained but don't want to assist or learn self preservation.
**** em and the Ford they drove in on.
Done with the rant. Easier to maintain their junk than get dragged out of bed for a roadside rescue call.
I most hate transmission fluids maintenance, always extra messy.

To me maintenance is repairing or replacing anything broke on a vehicle.
The hanging headliner was broke and also a safety issue when the duct tape gave way. lol

If you want a mechanical issue, then it would have to be changing the crank sensor with my old broken back. Next time, gonna call the hook and have it towed to a shop. Dam wish i had a lift.
