I don't necessarily agree with this. Generally the way I've seen de-railed threads handled is the MOD's will close it down, delete the BS threads, then open her back up.

I dont really agree with the fact to shut the whole thing down in general, maybe you guys need some more help?

Well I cleaned up the thread by removing half the content that was either derogatory or off the topic. It is now re-opened until I see it going afoul again then it is being deleted. Most of what was removed was from just a couple of contributors and answers from the OP. An infraction was handed down for language and I was as conservative as I am ever going to get.
SO WATCH IT in the future.

That's the way it was handled in the past. Just remove the offending post and leave the thread alone.
