Default Old Man Emu 5" lift

what are your guys opinions on this OME 5" lift? i searched and found nothing but good reviews of smaller kits but nothing on 5". my only real concern is that it comes with 1/2" blocks in the rear. but they are solid steel and is 1/2" really cause for concern? Thanks guys i dont know if im allowed to post the link to the lift kit or not so maybe ill post it later if i find out its ok.

looks like they make you add-on your own control arms. so $240 for adjustables (or this leaves you the option of buying some long arms from somewhere else)
$40 for ubolts
then you'll want to ditch the blocks and get shackles $90
discos $105
the kit is $811

so the kit is $1280 before shipping and you still need to go get your own shackles
I wouldnt bother with that kit personally. I dont really like the coil spacer and block idea.
but if you have a couple dollars extra and some time to play with it I'm sure that could be a killer suspension.

thats what i was thinking. im not a fan at all of spacers and blocks but with the right everything it could be a sweet kit. based on what ive read and heard OME is legendary for their quality both on and off the trail.

I've only heard good things about OME; Rocky Road not so much.

DPG FTW!! If your ever in my area again and want to take my X for a ride feel free to drop a line. I have JC1B packs with stock shackles.

If I was looking to acheive 5" I would get OME Med packs 2", then OME AAL 1" I'm told, then relocation brackets 1.5", Shackles 1". Up front I would just add ACOS to the OME springs for 3.5"-5.5". Or you could just pick up a set of Deaver or National springs

You would have the very good ride with full adjustability. Oh long arms? Which ones?

That actually sounds like a really good plan. I started looking into OME after you told me about it the day I was picking up the sliders and it seems like a solid way to go if I want to build it the right way.
