Default Oil gauge not working, engine not overheating. New distributor and OPS

So, I have checked the alternator, replaced plugs, wires, distributor and OPS. Still check gauges light and oil pressure gauge is out. Engine is not overheating and runs great. But intermittently, will just shut down when I brake at idle. No chug chug. Just computer shuts everything down. I am at an utter loss. Anyone run into this problem before? I am just looking for some guidance before throwing all my nickels and dimes into it.

Apologies for delayed reply. I am a caregiver to my handicapped wife, so I tend to get interrupted.
