oil and fuel pressure question
Just curious on if the oil and gas pressure should spike when you give it gas. I have a 4.0 jeep grand Cherokee My oil stays steady at 40 to on the dash no mater where your at on the rpm range. I also tested my fuel and it was around 45, give it gas and it didn't spike. Just want to know if that normal . I have an old Chevy truck with a 350 and when you give it gas the oil pressure rises. Just didnt know if the jeep stays around the same pressure.

the factory oil pressure gauge is not as sensitive as a mechanical one, or even some other electric ones. i have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and a factory one, the difference is funny actually. i have a 94 chev for a shop truck also, so i know what you mean as far as oil pressure there! fuel pressure should move a little higher when there is no vacuum (ie: wide open throttle) on a return system.
