idle in neutral pressure up from 20-25, to 40.idle in gear parked still 40! its a chilly day here and on a hot day it seems to drop more even though the temp gage is the same? ill see next week in warmer wx.
btw my temp is back to normal.

on first drive after change it went up higher than i ever saw it?? not much but definetly higher.
now, and b4 the needle just touches 210 and wiggles down a needle width as the tstat works its job, never above 210.

Not again-another hot temp related thread of yours!
Hard to tell from your post but are you finally satisfied the engine temp hasn't reached catastrophic proportions?

Far as oil psi, yes outside temp, highway driving and prolonged idling has an effect on oil psi.
In addition, don't know what exhaust system your 2k has but my 2k has the single cat system.
The exhaust pipe runs about an 1/8" next to the oil pan. Its got to be heating and thus thinning the oil as my oil pan paint is heat blistered next to the pipe. Prolonged idling without any road draft makes it worse.

If i get some time this Summer, i'm gonna wrap the exhaust pipe near the oil pan and see what happens.

Otherwise, watch your cooling system like a hawk, and if you have ANY weird or unusual cooling or temperature issues, take them seriously. Catching the crack early can mean the difference between a $500 head swap on a Saturday afternoon and a full blown engine swap.
did this exactly and got shot for it!!!

read this in oct, caused my "paranoia"!!!!!

Why are you always yelling? Exclamation points are to be used sparingly.

Poor nujeepguy, y'all give him such hell. This forum has been very friendly to me, so you must be a difficult person for all of these guys to give you such grief.
