offroad light mounts on a roof rack
I have a question regarding my tuff l.e.d backup lights. As some of you know I ordered my Curt rack today with the 2 day shipping so it will be here soon. My question is for anyone that has these lights or ones similar ones and a roof rack.what can I buy to mount them on the rack?I'm heard I could use pipe claps and I'm also thought about using them metal tie straps.are they anything I can get at say home depot or tractor supply to mount them on?I'm pretty new on the lights/roof rack thing but it seems to me they should have some kind of mounting system.

You could use a CB Antenna Mirror Mount They come in straight or 90 degree angles.
My backup lights are mounted with 2 big round plates through the mesh bottom of the basket. Helps to protect them from some tree branch damage.

The CB Antenna Mirror Mounts you can get at any truck stop or radio shack. As far as the round metal plates mine are mounted with, You can use any heavier gauge metal and just drill the mounting hole.
Tractor supply sells small sheets of metal in different thicknesses in the welding section for around 10 to 15 bucks. just cut to the desired shape or size.

If someone has a roof rack and back up lights could you post up how you wired yours up.It seems I'm going to have to drill a hole in my roof for each wire and then remove the headliner to run the wire's up to the front. Then run the wire's together into one wire that will be ran to a switch. Then I'll have to ground each light which isn't a big deal.the only problem I have is I didn't want to drill holes in my roof and I'd like to run a fuseable link when I go from 2 wires into 1.

You can get the 4 or 5 wire trailer hookup plugs to run 4 lights in the front of basket, as well as 2 wire plugs for your backup lights. that way you can unplug them if you need to remove your roof top basket.
Mine are snaked through the side of my basket and zip tied. Then run in through the top of rear hatch and snaked thru the trim panels and kick plates to the front.
