Default OBD-II key fob programming in SE Ohio

First off, i know this is a bit of an odd topic, and im not sure this is the best place to post it, but here goes.

So I called the nearest dealership i know of (McHugh's in Zanesville) and they can't get OEM key fobs for my '98. Before, when i asked if they could program a fob, the guy seemed to thought i was talking a bout a chipped key, and said it was 70 dollars.

I see a few fobs online i might take a chance on. it would be nice than fumbling around with two keys (P.O. put a new ignition in).

Does anyone know an affordable place in the southeastern Ohio area that can program the keyless entry fob? Too bad you cant do it with a regular OBD2 tool.

It's cheaper to install an aftermarket keyless entry than it is to get an OEM remote and have it programmed.

junk the old stuff.
aftermarket units, mine $18 hook up with 4 wires.
1 ground
2 +12v
3 unlock
4 lock.
done.
you can add a led for indicating action. 2 more wires.
keep it simple
