Noisy Water Pump??

Noisy Water Pump??
Is it common for 4.0L water pumps to whine? Mine has gotten pretty noisy lately, and its kind of unsettling (its my DD). It runs fine otherwise, doesn't overheat or leak. Should I ignore it, or should I be planning a replacement soon?
