My sweet spot in the XJ was 35mph. It either happened at the shift into third gear, or I was safe. Of course I dreaded every bump on the road, too. Turned out to be a loose axle-side trackbar bolt.

Am I the only XJ owner here that has never experienced DW? Well............wobble period for that matter. Sure, it had alot of drift when I first bought it but, that was because of old worn out tie rod ends.

My first XJ had DW. Ball joints were shot. My current XJ hasn't had that problem yet and it's my DD and newspaper route rig. But, if it wasn't for my XJ, many of my customers wouldn't get their newspaper every day.

Sorry, to stay on topic. YKYDAXJW, you never have a problem running an 86-122 mile newspaper route 7 days a week no matter what the weather. Through t-storms (lately), over fallen trees (because you forgot the chainsaw) ,up steep muddy hills and through overflowing creeks. And many of your customers give you bigger tips than usual because you were the first carrier to be able to deliver their paper even with (whatever) the weather or road conditions.

YKYDAXJW you're running 10 minutes late for work and see a sweet XJ at the gas station and are bummed the rest of the day cause you couldn't stop and make friends.
