That's sooo true! I see so many Jeep ads over here where they get it wrong about their own Jeep! It's not hard, it's written on the damn doors!!

in milliseconds, without even thinking.....i work w computers, and find myself typing in a pc related part number into Google for research only to realize i have "-grand" 'd it! whoops, habits, you know?

Just grand Cherokee would have a V6 as far as I know .... The xj's were 4 bangers , Europe had some diesels and 80% are 4.0L

Well you need a history lesson then. Some cherokees had a gm v6 I think it was a 2.8 litre. You just don't find as many cause they were ****ty and less were made.

Not interested in a history lesson and I did say "as far as I know" I wasn't commenting as a jeep history buff .... I know 96+ yrs on Cherokees quite well , never interested in the old stuff unless it had a Dana 44 to pull .... So other than that and in my experience I've never seen a Cherokee with a v6

I know they had v6s I have one my self. They aren't to bad actually. Just don't make a lot of power I constantly see people posting lets say a 91 and It has a great v6 engine makes me laugh I know my years of Jeeps for the most part thanks though!

I know GM, and the 2.8 was a GREAT engine, especially in a 1987 Z24. But lugging a Lumina around was even a bit much for it, let alone a stock XJ...add bumpers tires etc and it was just never made to move all that mass. good engine but a poor choice for the XJ.
