Yes, they look cool all muddy, but mud contains moisture, moisture causes rust, etc.

Washing your XJ prolongs its life.

mine has had mud on it for months. i can see everything starting to rust now that its finally clean

I wash my jeep very time before I go wheeling cuz I like to tell I dirty I get her btw she was not washed for 3 months
