Im working on getting a lift picked out for my 89xj as a wedding gift to myself. My 89xj is completely stock right down to the 26in tall tires. When i purchased it, i put brand new shocks on it, and im wanting to know if they will work for now with a 3in lift and 31s or, with they not have enough travel? The jeep doesnt really see any play time. Im more or less adding the lift and tires for the winter time. Let me know what you think guys. thanks

the stock shocks along with the lift may make the ride rough... it would be better to get ones for a 3 inch lift...

 

yeah, i understand that, but i guess what im asking is, is it doable or will the shocks not have enough travel. Im just wanting to use what ive already recently paid for...

its ok to drive around with... but you really should get better updated ones
