I've got a '90 and going to replace the radiator soon, been debating whether or not to make the switch.

it seriously took me 45 minutes. the stock system uses the resevoir bottle as part of the closed system to flow through for the heater, and uses it as the radiator cap. This puts way to much heat and pressure on cheap plastic bottles that warp and wont seal correctly. Leading to an opening in a closed system. Put the new radiator in and get a new bottle with only one nipple. elimintate that extra bottom hose from under the resevoir tank. I recommend the 1992 triple core brass radiator from radiatorbarn.com. it was like 172 shipped. the new radiator will have a spot for the cap on the drivers side. I recommend getting an air filter upgrade on ebay for 30 bucks which will give you more room in that compartment. here you can mount your new resevoir tank closer to your radiator. this eliminates a need to route a long hose from your radiator to your new bottle.
