I always see pics of XJ's with really bright lights that replaced the stock lights, what are these called? And also what brand sells the most cost effective light bars with 4 lights?

 

HID's or maybe hyper white bulbs from a local auto store. hid's are much more expensive but O how wonderful they are.

 

i used the hella replacement lights. $90 for both. it helped alot.

 

You're probably thinking of HIDs. Most people score them on eBay. I did my complete conversion for $70-80 using an eBay HID kit and autopal headlights. You are required to buy new headlights that will allow you to run an H4 bulb. From there, you can either run a regular halogen bulb, or install HID bulbs. HID kits are plug and play, and very easy to install. I recommend running a relay for them.

can never go wrong with hid's.... only bad part is going from a vehicle with them to one without (leaning up over the steering wheel to see)
