Default new jeep owner questions

Hello, my dad recently bought me a 98 jeep cherokee sport, and it came on some pretty bald tires. I was wondering if anyone would know how large a tire could i put on a stock 98 cherokee? 30s maybe?

Well the 235's looked really good with stock ride height. I had mud tires though.

I don't speak metric. But you can easily fit 31x10.50's on a stock cherokee. Just be prepared to rub from time to time.

235's fit with no trimming or rubbing. 30's will rub your lower control arms, so you can adjust your steering stops to help that. 31's fit if you want to trim your fenders and they will rub. Another option to fix rubbing is new wheels with less back spacing or wheel spacers

I had 31s in my 95 with zero trimming and stock rims!

Didn't say it was a fun experience though. It's how I bought it. Soon after It was trimmed and lifted though. Haha

One other question, can i put wrangler tires on my 98 cherokee? i know they have the same bolt pattern, but are there any slight differences that would keep them from fitting?

I've got 29s on mine. Told that was about as high as you could go, but with the amount of space I have left with mine (and mine is stock), I don't see why 30s wouldn't fit.

29s should be stock size. Trust me when I say 31s and stock height will work. Many have done it including myself.
