New Jeep Cherokee aka Liberty
How is Jeep "trail" rated?
Go visit the Jeep website and start trying to spec options.
No Locker/Posi option, no standard shift, then again no 2 door.
WTF is Jeep thinking?
They should offer a locker/posi unit in the diffs if you want to pay for it, would be great if they would offer some extra trim options, like the UpCountry on the ZJ, and non-power non-A/C option.
You can't order a new car to your tastes.
I guess it really is a Soccer Mom Pussified World.
No new Jeep for us.

I dont know what they're thinking but they better believe I wouldnt even look at it unless it came with the option of being a 5/6 speed with a diesel. Drove a Diesel KJ and loved it...If they make one like they did with mopar underground then id consider it for a Daily Driver.

What is so bad about a 3.7??
Now it is getting outdated and the 3.6 Pentastar will be going in it next year, but still nothing wrong with it.
A non-power non-AC Liberty would not sell.
The options for a KK are as simple as the law of supply and demand.
I do think that a factory locker/LSD would be a great idea though.
Have you seen what it takes to make a Jeep "trail rated"? Its does have a meaning behind it..

The CRD Liberty would still be here if it wasn't for the governmental regulations of the diesel vehicles here in the US.
