I got my first xj a few months ago when i needed a car to get around when i got out of high school. and let me say its a ****in blast. Its a 1992 laredo with just under 200k, From when i know its compleatly stock. It does have a few problems though and i figured a few of you could help.

1.When i engage the 4wd on the street the part time light goes on but feels no diffrent, And when i engage it Off the road(In dirt on the slightest slope),It grinds. Sounds nasty too. A buddy of mine said the 4x4 is going out.

2.When i hit a Bump off road or even pulling a little too fast out of a driveway and turn to the right i will here a hard knock coming from the Front left Suspention. Any idea on what that is?

3.my climate control stuff doesnt work, When i turn it on it makes a little Puff noise and thats it. I think i might have bad wiring cause my windows are also messed up, Only the drivers door can roll all the windows down.



I cant wait to start building this thing but right now i have a few small things to work out first and since im a collage student i cant just dive in this this project head first...baby steps ha.

1. I would check linkage and maby ajust it. Part time is not for the road. Use full time if you have it.
2.Check your sway bar. Mine used to make noise untill I replaced the bushings.
3.Check fuses first.
