New CB mount give me your opinion
I made this bracket as a prototype. Im curious on your guys' opinion of it and if you would pay $25 shipped to your door for it?
The eye for the antenna can be made larger for a spring mount. its cnc cut so I can pretty much do anything with it using the computer,
It will ship raw to keep the cost down and so you can paint it the color of your choice
It is made for the passenger side.
Id appreciate the feedback.
I can take pictures of it mounted tomorrow during the daylight
If I have enough good feedback ill make some more.

im not set on $25 as the price, it depends on what it costs me to have them made.
$25 is the most id sell them for, but doing it the right way isnt as cheap as cutting a piece of angle iron with the electric grinder...

I don't think its worth the 25$ you can buy other mounts as little as 10$ or less and that's from a truck stop with a huge mark up.. I bought the parts from a TA truck stop for 4$ and drilled a hole in the bumper. so my cost was 4$ and 15 min of time.. and it works just as good. It seems most of those who cant make something them selves there looking for the easiest cheapest option. This is just my opinion.

I think it could use a little more "beef" where the two peices join together but I like squeezing between trees and ****, which rips a lot of stuff off (which is also why my antenna is on my rack). I could make a fugly one cheaper but yours looks nice, so ya Id buy it if I didnt already have one.
Also you will need two different styles for pre97 and post97

My antenna mount currently is a magnetic one, Ill get a new one to install when i have time.
here is pics of the mount installed on the jeep.
Its made of 1/4 inch cold rolled steel, your antenna or the tail light bolts are going to rip before the bracket does,
The mounting holes are elongated so that you are guaranteed that it will fit your rig.
The guy building these for me loves to over due stuff, the tab on the end has a slot notched in it to fit the two pieces together. There isnt much are for welding so we decided it would be best to TIG weld the two pieces together.
This one is staying on my rig so as soon as I get my rig together and have time to mount a cb antenna permanently on the bracket ill post pics of it with the antenna in it.
