So i spilled a bunch of antifreeze in my back seat awhile ago and didnt think anything of it, until yesterday when i noticed a funky smell and wet carpet in the cargo area.

This is what i found

 

I'm calling the EPA. That's disgusting.

 

its all cleaned up now im just waiting for the carpet to finish drying and itll look as good as new. hopefully

 

Anti-freeze takes forever to dry in carpet.

 

If the carpet still looks bad after it dries, spray paint it with any spray bomb that matches the color. After it dries brush it out with a stiff bristle brush.

TEST this on a floormat first but this recommendation was made to me by a guy that runs a detail shop for used car dealers. He says this is how they "restore" stained carpets.
