I got some experience as well, but if you wanna do some image editing try downloading GIMP . It's basically a free open source version of photoshop and there are tons of tutorials online on how to do minor to fairly technical image manipulations with it.

But if u just want something small and quick done, post it up and im willing to give it a try.

I honestly don't know much. I run CS3, no effects or anything really. I dont do anything with visual arts for work, just kinda toy around with it. So far what I've learned, a good camera makes it easier.

But as I was saying...

SHRINK MOD!!! (my buddys Xterra)

Lol that's awesome. Photoshops a fun tool to play with on bored afternoons. I stole a copy of cs5 from my mom who's a professional freelance photographer but I just got my lil 13" MacBook. If she's outta her office I like to stop by and use her 22" iMac with the stylus tablet and a buncha add-ons like lightroom and whatever else she uses all the time. Just using the regular tools are good enough for me though... it's a beast of a program and it would take forever to learn everything it can do and I wasn't a design major... Just a broke business strategy/entrepreneurship grad lol

I've noticed that it has a pretty steep learning curve but once you get down the basics you can really get into using your creativity with some crazy layering/masking effects and can produce some cool photos
