I have a steel rear bumper on the back of my cherokee already and was thinkin bout adding a winch in the back since i got a spare winch layin around. I havent seen many rear winch bumpers made and i could find any threads in a search. I was thinkin about usin a universal winch plate and some scrap steel, just wonderin if any of yall have or have a pic of a rear winch bumper, thanks.

just make sure it tied into the unibody well as it could just pull right out if its not attached in more then a few places

also the Michelins wouldn't happen to be on 24s would they (i need a set of 24x1400s)

your better off building a winch plate to put into your hitch, make some tube handles that wrap around to also protect it, that way it sits lower and you don't have to worry about it effecting your hatch from opening

Whatever you do just make sure it doesn't stick out too far and totally ruin your departure angle

I'd build a new bumper with a dip down like a Pickup Truck so that the winch will be low and the hatch can still open...

I see that your jeep is parked on the street but is it street legal??? would think you'd need the bumpers down low enough for a fart can civic to not drive under you???

I'm not blind to that fact but that doesn't mean crap up here in NH, just cause the plates are on it doesn't mean legal... the plates could be on it from before the build up.

That is one sick... 2wd cherokee??

So the rear drive line bind is killing you... and you can't even get a front drive line in it? Have you figured out the problem yet?

hah yall crack me up. its street legal and it not a rock crawler its a mud truck..and its my daily driver hehe. but i was plannin on cuttin the center sectin out of the rear bumper and welding a universal winch plate in. the back hatch dont really open if you look close its cracked i backed into a tree so i got a new hatch and it just didnt mount up 100% good but i dont care.

and yeah i didnt build the suspension dont blame me for the wimpy front axle. Im doin a 1ton swap up front and putting a cv rear divieshaft in.I DO have 5 front driveshafts i just dont put them in unless i need then the front has different gears than the rear end(again-i didnt build it!)
